Anna Tilner transcended the hatred and violence of her native rural Alabama to become a brilliant attorney with the storied Boston law firm, Tilner and Associates.  Now in 1938, she must return to her birthplace, drawn into a horrifying conspiracy directed by one of the nation's most powerful and disturbed men.
