The Outside world is strange and dangerous. There are less laws and more people. Mrs. Larson and her assistant, Hensley, take in a girl who collapses behind their Seaside Bakery from a fever and nearly broken jaw. Safe Inside, the girl begins to recover, and Hensley desperately wants to know her name. He secretly wonders if her words could save them all—if only she would speak. While the Outside world becomes more unhinged, the quiet bakery seems like a haven. What will happen when Peace is shattered and names must be said out loud?
