When four years ago shy steps for lustration were being made, the assumption was that the process would open deep wounds in the fragile Macedonian society, but only a few could suppose that it would result into a real political earthquake. The three files about the high BDI's officials "Uncle," "Mama", and "Strelec", and especially the file published by DNEVNIK yesterday under the pseudonym "Ibar" (born in Zajas, with a university diploma from Pristina), are strongly shaking the BDI's steering wheel and threatening to flood the Government. The documents have not only complicated the BDI's position and the Government's credibility, but they are opening many questions about the events occurring to us in recent history - transition time, especially about the motives and the character of the conflict in 2001. For the BDI, the file is definitely shedding a different light on the military conflict nine years ago and according to some considerations it can be demonstrated that Macedonia was actually used for other people's interests. No matter that the credibility of the documents has not been asserted yet (the question is whether this will be done at all), still they are presenting such details and juicy stuff that even if they are formulated as "speculations and constructions", they are extremely shocking. The information that on the list of collaborators of the State Security Service of the SFRY are the "brains" of the struggle for human rights and the glorified NLA commanders, as well as delegates and ministers, is quite appalling. These persons are said to have been servicing the secret security services in the 80s, but also in the 90s.
