In and Around Berlin

In and around Berlin is biographical work by American writer Minerva Brace Norton (1837-????), devoted to her travels across Germany.  As a writer she saw much more on her journeys to Berlin, than meets the eye of an ordinary tourist.  In a very poetic and unhurried manner she tells about architecture, landmarks and what bystanders tend to miss between them – people, their daily routines and problems, the way they thing, grow and live. No text can provide full-strength impressions of seeing Berlin on your own, but this volume is as close that as it gets.
