Before AC/DC became one of the biggest rock bands in the world, they were a young, hungry band tearing through clubs, stages and dressing rooms - and photographer Dick Barnatt was there to capture it.

This rare archive brings together 200 photographs from 1976-1981, with 70% previously unpublished. Together, they document the band's explosive early years and the era that shaped their legend.

From raw live performances and backstage chaos to quieter, intimate moments away from the stage, Barnatt's photographs offer a rare glimpse of Bon Scott, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd as they created the songs that would define rock history - from Highway to Hell and Back in Black to You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells and Shoot to Thrill.

Arranged chronologically and tour by tour, the book follows AC/DC's extraordinary ascent from their early days to international superstardom.
