John Appleby, an amateur scientist, has managed to construct a craft which he believes is suitable to claim NASA’s ‘X’ prize. Initially everything seems to be going well before disaster strikes!



Now, not only is his own life and those of his passengers put at risk, but also life on Earth. With the loss of many satellites, some of which have nuclear drives the prospect of contamination combined with showers of burning metal junk threaten to fall from the skies. The only hope is to call for help, but who will hear his cries from the deepness of space?
