Jack Sheppard / A Romance

The story of Jack Sheppard begins before his time. His father, Tom Sheppard is encouraged by a notorious criminal, named Jonathan Wild, to start a life as a criminal. Jonathan later turns Tom to the authorities and soon he is killed. Behind him, he left his wife and his son, who is still a baby.

One day Owen Wood, from whom Tom was stealing, comes to the home of Tom’s widow and sees that she lives a miserable life. He tells her that there is a prophecy which tells that her son Jack will die the same way as his father. The foundation of this prophecy lies in the existence of a mole behind Jack’s ear. Wanting to help e widow and to avoid the prophecy, he offers to take the baby. Aside from raising Jack, Owen also raises another orphan named Thames Darrel. It is Owen intent to teach Jack about the right things and make him a good, honest person. But is Owen going to succeed in cheating the destiny? Will Jack be an honest man or a thief like his father?

In this suspense-thriller, we see a lot of action, prison breaks, chase scenes and bloody fights, but we also see a strong bond of friendship and a loyalty to friends and family.
