This book is a transcription of a diary kept by Arkansas resident, John Brown, from 1852 to 1865. He maintained the diary on a daily basis and it chronicles life on a plantation as well as life in Camden, Arkansas. Anyone with interest in Arkansas will enjoy the description of what life was like to live there 150 years ago. Photographs of buildings from the time of the diary that are still in existence, are included.
