to her new grandson:

Cradled in
his grandmothers arms
the baby slept
calmed by her voice
soothed by her touch
secured by her love

As she held
her first grandson
her mind slipped
into the past
remembering when
she once held
her own son,
who looked
just like this one..."

This book was a twenty-year, emotionally purging experience for me, says Gail, a native of San Francisco. My hope is that after reading about my journeys, people will be encouraged to make the most of their own. This is Gails debut book.
