Karima Speak

This is the second book in the Daryl Morgan and Rodger Truscott series. It takes place six months after the end of the first book when Daryl is saved by one of Rodger's premonitions. His house blows up with only a badly burned female inside. Everyone thinks it's Judy that died but Daryl has a connection with her that is so strong he knows it isn't. Thus begins a wild ride to rescue Judy which starts in Marrakesh, then Djibouti where Karima is rescued from her forced life as a prostitute to Monaco, to the Saharan desert (where they are caught in a Haboob) and Cuba. Karima is an educated Egyptian woman who speaks three languages but prefers to use pidgin English (Karima Speak). Along the way Madeline is taken again and one of their best friends is killed by Clarence Morton, the head of Morton Security. "Poison" is back along with the Wazir of Marrakesh. Karima is a very central character to this fast paced thriller. Her development from beaten down prostitute to an incredibly strong and capable woman is worth the read alone. If you haven't read the first book "Click Fraud @ Sonic Ping" you might want to read it first. It is presently free.
