Enjoy this steamy small-town romantic suspense series, where family bonds run deep, and let the power of love sweep you away.
The word cloak means to cover, hide, or disguise. Would you shed yours and expose your heart for love?
Veterinarian Emma Foster arrives in Swan Harbor, holding her goal list in one hand and the layers of her protective cloak in the other. But she hadn’t anticipated the town's irresistible charm or the magnetic pull of a man with striking blue eyes. Together, they threaten to upend her well-ordered life.
Investigator Killian Reade has hidden behind his good looks, charming banter, and irresistible accent, using them as masks to conceal his true self. Then, a flash of yellow strips one mask away, and the people of Swan Harbor chip at another. But when Emma sees through him instead of at him, he’s compelled to embark on a journey. One to discover the man he’s truly meant to be.
As their walls begin to crumble, an offhand comment from Emma leads Killian to uncover unsettling behavior hidden within their small town. When all is revealed, will they wrap the layers tighter, or will they let love in and set their hearts free?

A Siren’s call that will bring you to tears!
Five heartfelt stars 😻😻😻😻😻for Kittens, Puppies and Love, because:
<< He cupped her jaw and his thumb rested lightly in the slight indention below her bottom lip, "You," his voice dropped an octave, "make me feel."
"Is that a good thing?"
[...] Killian inclined his head, giving her a gentle smile, "It is...but it scares the bloody hell out of me.” >>
Those of you who read my 5-Star review of Kisses, Family and Hope might wonder about my reading order. Yes, I started with Sophie Bartow’s newest book. I fell in love with Swan Harbor, and now I’m slowly working my way backwards. And guess what?
I didn’t mind knowing how Kittens, Puppies and Love would end, although I already knew from the sequel.
What’s important about the Swan Harbor books is the journey. In this case, a journey of hope, friendship and the sharing of burdens. It’s about the struggle to change, to face the past, to be able to walk into the future with a clear conscience and an open heart.
<< "Hope?"
"Yes, Hope," she repeated, this time with more confidence. "It's part of my New Year's resolution."
"Hope." The word rolled off his tongue. "I like it." Hope, he thought, a feeling he had become familiar with recently. Hope the woman he was holding would get to know the man without his cape. >>
Again, Sophie Bartow made me feel warm and loved, cuddled and held dear. Again, I wish to return to Swan Harbor for the next heartfelt story 💞
Cuddle up with your comforter, a cup of hot cocoa and some cookies, and immerse yourself between the pages for a vacation to Swan Harbor you will never forget 💖
