Lazy A Ranch

What secrets did Spiny Ridge hold? Whatever they were, they were worth attempted murder, trespass, theft and corruption. The dinosaur-like ridge stretched dauntingly across Lazy A Ranch. Tracy Atwater had returned to take over the operation after her father had a stroke. Years of drought and low cattle prices had taken a toll on the ranch. Saving it from foreclosure was an up hill battle. The parched earth of the pasture near the ranch house required Tracy and her one remaining ranch hand to move the cattle to the north pasture where there was still water and grass.
Tom Norbert, son of the local banker who help the mortgage, on the Lazy A Ranch, had also returned home. Tracy and Tom have a stormy relationship that goes back to high school. Tracy is unsure whether to trust Tom when he offers to help her. Together, they discover the secrets of Spiny Ridge while trying to evade the dangers that seem to come from all direction.
