Legacy

Danny is an elderly man of German background. His home-care support worker, Crystal, is anxious about life in the unsettled post-pandemic world. Danny uses his own story as a Jewish child refugee to give Crystal hope for the future.

A rock is thrown through an apartment window on Kristallnacht - but it has a note tied to it, warning the family that arrest is imminent. Danny has carried the rock with him throughout his life as a reminder of that night.

"Each and every one of us has a hand to play in making the future. So, if you have a hand to play – whether that's an actual rock like my Kristallnacht Angel, or anything else big or small, ask, what is the kind, human thing to do, right now? That is what Life needs from you, expects from you. And that's enough."
