Letters from Owen

Hidden in an attic, tucked under the eaves, is a dusty box containing a treasure more precious than gold…

Every year, Sarah Campbell throws an annual spring cleaning party, recruiting her grandkids to get the job done. She knows to expect joking, teasing, friendly shenanigans, and plenty of laughter from her family. This year's crew doesn't disappoint—with Colin, Easton, and Sadie helping, there's never a dull moment.

In the middle of cleaning, Colin stumbles across an old chest containing a box of letters thought to have been lost decades earlier. Housework screeches to a halt as Sarah and her husband, Owen, surrounded by their family, explore the memories hidden inside.

Spanning decades, the correspondence tells the story of the early years of their marriage, commemorating the events that shape a relationship over time—births, deaths, losses, joys, arguments, frustrations… and, most of all, love.

Letters from Owen is a bonus novella in the Firefly Hollow Generations series, a heartwarming small-town Southern family saga with a meddling family that means well and Appalachian folk magic running underneath it all. Told in letters and multiple POVs across decades, it's a slice-of-life story about an enduring marriage, the ordinary days that add up to a life together, and the grandchildren who uncover the box that holds them all.
