Liberty's Invitation

In 2016, I wrote a poem on voting and citizen participation in politics. Before publishing it, I needed to add a poem against social division and tribalism. As the landscape has continued to deteriorate, I have been compelled to expand the work. Today, it seems unlikely that these entries will be judged aesthetically rather than as affirmations or attacks on the reader’s political views. In the meantime, I hope that it will at least be read at all, through to the end.
