Playing on the school basketball team never really seemed attainable to Ted Barker. In fact, until he met Coach Doug Brewer, Ted never really could see what the big deal was about being on a team. With a little coaxing by his best friend Roach, Ted decides to try out for the seventh grade YellowJackets. Like Brothers takes you through a special season that introduces a boy to the true meaning of the word “team,” while also reconnecting with his father. Can Ted fit into a group of boys that went to the county playoffs last year? As the YellowJackets start to gel on the court, their friendships grow off the court as well. Ted realizes that being part of a team is much more than just playing ball together.
