Lilith's Apple

Seeking revenge after being banished from Paradise, Lilith, the Queen of Purgatory, enlists the aid of a shape-shifting bounty hunter to capture Evangeline, the powerful young daughter of Adam and Eve.  Why are The Seven Deadly Sins, disguised as dwarfs, protecting her on earth, and what does Lilith truly hope to gain with but the bite of an apple?
