Liverpool Pirate

Jake is the only child of a murdered witch, killed the day he was born. He escapes virtual slavery by his cruel foster-father, only to be captured by an American privateer vessel.

Set in 1777 against the backdrop of historical events in Nova Scotia at the time of the American War of Independence, Jake becomes captain of the Skylark, the ship that captured him, and embarks on series of adventures that lead to him being unfairly labeled both murderer and pirate.

He seeks to clear his name and find his true father, all the while exploring the mysteries of his own burgeoning powers.

What he never counted on was finding love in the form of another young witch.
