Lonely As A Spoiled Moon

Lonely As A Spoiled Moon is a melancholy photo-illustrated prose poem about the intense shame, loneliness and grief often experienced by survivors of childhood narcissistic abuse. Afraid for others to get close for fear of further abuse or rejection, survivors of parental narcissistic abuse may spend their entire lives longing for human comfort and connection, yet feel unable to risk asking for it. The author and award-winning mobile photographer, Meri Aaron Walker, used only her iPhone to capture and edit the photographs from a solo hike she took in mid-September, 2015, while feeling this way. A first edition of this book was published in 2017, using the mobile app, Steller. This second edition, published in July, 2024, has been recompiled using Book Creator on a Mac Book Pro using screen shots made with an iPhone13Pro and edited lightly using Photomator to increase their clarity and resolution.
