Lonely People

Lonely People is a collection of short stories that together paint a portrait of America in the second half of the Twentieth century.

The first in the Portrait of America series by G. Lowell Tollefson, Lonely People contains stories set in locations across America as well as in its conflicts overseas: in living rooms, bars, ranches, suburbs, cities, rice paddy hamlets, and military installations.

The people in these stories experience love, loss, and power at every age and in every kind of relationship: between parents and children, lovers, warriors, artists, and more. Each story is an exploration of the human psyche and our interactions with one another, nature, and the events in our lives.
