Unterhaltsamer romantic suspense Roman (3,25 - 3,5 Sterne)
Ab und zu lese ich neben Liebesromanen auch mal romatic suspense Bücher und da sich das von Donna Grant gut angehört hat, habe ich zugegriffen.
Das Buch lässt sich gut lesen und der klare Aufbau macht es einem einfach, der Geschichte zu folgen. Den Verlauf der Geschichte fand ich nachvollziehbar. Leider kann man sich gut vorstellen, dass ein ähnliches Verbrechen aus außerhalb von Büchern stattfindet.
Die Charaktere waren durchaus interessant, konnten mich aber nicht komplett überzeugen. Ich hatte Probleme mit ihnen eine gute Beziehung aufzubauen, was mir beim Lesen immer wichtig ist. Auch ihre Liebesbeziehung fand ich nett, aber nicht so toll, dass ich mitgefiebert hätte. Allem fehlte etwas an Tiefe.
Das Ende war mir persönlich in Bezug auf eine Sache zu offen. Ich hatte gerne eine Auflösung einer wichtigen Situation gehabt, das blieb leider aus.
Alles in allem war "Looking for a Cowboy" (der Titel macht für mich übrigens nur wenig Sinn) ein durchaus unterhaltsames Buch, das auf mich aber keinen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen hat.
