Loving Thomas Graves

Growing up from a toddler to adulthood is a difficult passage in any young person's life. To grow up with a ghost lurking about, makes the journey even more challenging. Call it whatever.  A ghost, a spirit or an unwanted entity, it was the third member in the marriage of Julia Fletcher Patterson's parents. The bond between Julia's mother and the Spirit was one that kept the family dysfunctional for years.

As a child, Julia accepted the 'Spirit' story. At sixteen, she questioned it, she investigated it, she realized and liked it and at seventeen, she began to understand it.

For Julia Fletcher Patterson growing up under this umbrella of confusion, lies and family secrets undermined her dream of a normal life and instilled in her a definite understanding of her universe. A cosmic riddle, as she calls herself, Julia is aware of the complex and unpredictable state of man. In a universe of perfect harmony and balance 'Man' stands out as the most multifaceted, unpredictable, ambiguous and complex particle in the universe.  Thus, Man is the ultimate paradox. And Julia accepts and embraces her world by believing in destiny. She believes in a life predetermined and predesigned. As her life enfolds, she learns to unify her two concepts

The Yin and the Yang. She submits to destiny's forces and hopes she is not just a fool of fate's folie loving Thomas Graves.
