No one in the Solar System suspects anything of the enormous discoveries the Atlantika crew has made in the Hercules Dwarf Galaxy. The Solar Union is mainly occupied with repairing the colossal damages caused by the attack of the Guardianship. The crisis teams at the GCC-Center have to deal with enormous problems.
It is about restoring the primary energy supply for the Earth and Moon and resolving countless tragic individual cases. Many days after the attack, numerous ships and their crews are still missing. The space battles have left countless wrecks floating in solar space.
The Genorantan Portal in the Neptune System was destroyed. After Bachtar broke apart in the gravity field of the ice giant and can no longer act as a placeholder for the destroyed moon Despina, solar scientists fear that the orbits of smaller moons could shift. The infrastructure of the Solar Union is considered severely damaged. The surface of Mercury was devastated by a solar eruption caused by the Guardianship.
After this system-wide catastrophe, Humankind would surely be at its demise if it weren’t for friendly nations standing by Humanity, helping to ease the misery.
The Solar Union leaders still don’t understand what provoked the furious attacks of the Guardian. It also remains unclear what role the Techno-Clerics played in the conflict with the Guardians. Why did the robots leave the Solar System in such haste? There are a lot of open questions, but only a few can be answered.
Despite the severe problems, Humanity is looking forward to implementing the Outpost Program, a Union initiative, which had been established together with the Privateer Law. The objective is to thoroughly investigate the neighboring star systems. Wherever possible, new regions are to be explored for Humanity. One of the first bases will be established in the Barnard’s Star System, six lightyears away. Three specialists are preparing the highly automated Outpost-One Base for the future crew.
