Sadie's spent the last few months trying to recover from her break with reality. There's no such thing as zombies. Or dragons. Or annoyingly cute boys who offer rides and cold drinks. Cash Lincoln was a pretty convincing figment of her imagination... but that's all he was.

So imagine her dismay when she runs into him on a school camping trip.

When Sadie's classmate can actually see and interact with Cash, though, she has to come to a quick realization that maybe she hasn't been as detached from reality as she thought. Which is easier said than done when she's plunged into yet another surreal scenario, this time involving murder, an airship war, and really uncomfortable boots.

Cash isn't who Sadie thought he was. Apparently, she's not who she thought she was. And now she has to make a decision that could affect the rest of her life. The choice should be easy.

So why does she not know what she wants to do?
