Mud And Malice

Veterinarian Rowan Adler is on the run from an abusive ex partner when her truck gets hopelessly stuck in deep Montana mud. Her unexpected savior is Cade, a heavily armed former Army Ranger sniper who pulls her vehicle free but confiscates her keys. Cade has spent three years living as a ghost in a fortified compound, hiding from the corrupt defense contractor that destroyed his military team. When a spring thaw gridlocks the roads and floods the valley, Rowan is stranded inside Cade's high tech fortress. Their forced proximity dissolves their boundaries and sparks an intense attraction, but Cade's protective instincts soon blur the line between sanctuary and captivity. With Rowan's abusive ex closing in and a lethal mercenary recon squad pinpointing Cade's location, the two must unite to survive a deadly dual ambush and fight a war their enemies never anticipated.
