Audrey Canning only knew that her father was aboard their company jet that crashed into Elk Mountain. Accompanied by her father's partner, she traveled from her home in California to the small Wyoming town sitting close to the mountain.

Here she met a local detective, a rancher, and a government man from Washington D. C.

These men were anxious to find a briefcase in the downed plane.

Did one of them sabotage the plane? They each seemed to have a motive. Only when the group flew to California was the mystery solved with a surprise that baffled them all.
