Though provoking insight on current world affairs
This book was one of the more thought-provoking reads I have had in the past year. It details the slippery slope of war and how easy it is to get to a point of no return. Even though it is quite simplistic in its events, I would really recommend it to anybody who wants an insight into current world events.
Having said this, the book is not perfect. There are love stories that are just added for no particular reason that, in my opinion, detract from the real political drama. Some character motivations are questionable or sudden and I wish there was more work done to justify them. And there are only a few global players on the map interacting at all times, making the world seem small.
