Dave Mason grew up in the New York Foster Care system, which was riddled with fraud and abuse. He fought to survive.

When he was seventeen, Dave witnessed Mafia members murder his elderly boss, and he fled. However, they tracked him down and attempted to kill him. After changing his name, he joined the military and served in a war zone.

After his discharge, Dave settled in Tyler, a small mountain town. Just when he believed the past was behind him, it resurfaced in the form of a beautiful woman and, soon after, Mafia enforcers.
