Nuclear and Thermal

This is a revision booklet, which covers unit 5's "section A" of the AQA Physics A syllabus. Each section is a single page spread, which includes all of the necessary equations, definitions and short paragraphs needed for the examination, as well as diagrams and explanations to aid understanding

Chapters:

Radioactivity (evidence for the nucleus, radiation types, decay, instability, nuclear radius)

Nuclear energy(mass and energy, induced fission)

Thermal physics (energy, ideal gases, molecular kinetic theory model)


 Section B is the "option", where the students can choose between astrophysics, medical physics, applied physics and turning points. This is not included in this revision booklet, which only contains the part of unit 5 that all of the A2 physics students undertake (i.e. section A only)
