Nullarbor Rumours

Nullarbor Plain is a fascinating place, 250,000 square kilometres of treeless, desolate wild plains. It is bordered to the south by the Great Australian Bight where the waves of the Southern Ocean crash into towering cliffs. Whales gather to mate and calve between May and October every year.


These light-hearted stories are about some of the fascinating tales and legends heard in the bars and round the camp fires of the Nullarbor Plain.  The girl who lived there.  The Famous Horse.   The astronaut who touched down on the plain.  The mysterious cave with its secrets that cuts under the cliffs of the Nullarbor;

Some say that the Nullarbor

Nymph story was a hoax, invented

by a group of friends for a laugh.

Some say that it was based on a

desert girl called “Kotia”.
