Beschreibung des Verlags
Sardinia, 1222 BC, the Nuragic civilization is flourishing and Fish, the boy with long braids, comes back to his village, Geste, after the incredible adventure in the nuraghe of Antinoo, in the search of an elusive Lydian treasure.
He is overwhelmed with the most gloomy discouragement and with disillusion, like all of us when the dream which we have invested so much work in and made enormous sacrifices for does not come true.
But there is always a dim ray of hope and, for the lad, it is represented by the little female statuette that he has dexterously seized inside the Bull God nuraghe. The Mycenaean symbols engraved on it will be interpreted by the high priest Noname, an enigmatic figure, who will drive Fish to face again an adventurous journey through the wild regions of the central Sardinia, bound for Antinoo.
His path will be studded with strange encounters, from which he will learn lessons that only real life can give us and, much against his will, he will find himself facing unexpected intrigues in what will prove to be a true Nuragic odyssey.
The Author
As a child, Giancarlo starts to write and draw with ink the adventures of characters who are figments of his untiring imagination, that he shares with his friends and his schoolmates.
He loves science fiction and graduates from Turin University with a degree in computer science, branch Artificial Intelligence. Then he works 18 years for multinational companies such as Cisco, Marconi and Olivetti before coming back to the passions of his youth: adventure comics, archeology and Sardinia Island.
These three elements melt together in his artistic craft and research, giving birth to the tetralogy “The Lydian’s treasure”, “Nuragic Odyssey”, “The maze of Dionysus” and “The big illusion”, graphic novels dedicated to the Nuragic civilization and having Fish, the boy with long braids, as the protagonist.
His drawing technique is purely classic, making use of boards, pencils, ink and lots of brushes.
