Lydia Gilbert loved plants more than relationships with the opposite sex. The plants understood her more than men she figured. That was why she decided that a long-term relationship for her love of plants would be the perfect choice of how to spend her life.

The day Josh Halliday came into the shop to buy a plant for his mother, changed the course of her decision on relationships. However, a girlfriend in his life soon put those fantasies out of her mind.

It wasn't until a tragedy strikes that brings them together again. The worst yet storm hits Calico and sets a journey for both of them and together they will either come to terms with their choices or make new choices that will change both of their lives forever.
