Painting On Air

A unique experience in three chapters. A touch of surrealism? A mystery with no crime? It shouldn't be difficult to describe this story. It's either a short novelette, or a long short-story. I mean, it's actually very simple: It's a story played out by its characters. The hero (Jed), meets a young boy with a red wagon, a few other people, and Benjamin Franklin. Really.
A stranger approaches you on a city street, addresses you by name, and gives you
a large, mysterious package.
What is it? What should you do with it? It is nearly too heavy to carry, but you feel you must
take it home, if only to unwrap it, and discover its contents. But it's too large to carry on the bus, and it's fifteen blocks to your apartment. And it's snowing.
Notice: Once you begin this story, you will probably be unable to stop before finishing it. Really.
