Phantasm

Even after recovering from the devastating effects of emotional hurt and pain, it will from time to time return like a phantom limb to haunt you and to remind you of the place that you have been. It robs you from the ability to sense anything else than just the white blinding pain. Everything else fades in comparison to the pain that is right in your face, demanding your full and undivided attention. How do you deal with the intense pain of something that’s not there anymore?
