If you're hankering for some fun, music, satire, and international intrigue, take a ride with Cal and Wally, two footloose American college kids following the Grateful Dead around on their historic 1972 European tour. Cal and Wally meet many interesting people on the road from Stonehenge to the enchanting Black Forest: Ron 'Pigpen' McKernan of the Grateful Dead; a hobbit lorry driver named Hermann; Shade, a mysterious homeless gypsy waif; and Helga, a very beautiful but very dangerous woman with a serious lisp who isn't quite right in the head. West Germany is Ground Zero of the Cold War and a hotbed of radical terrorists like the Red Dagger Cell. Lisping Helga is one of them—and Pigpen McKernan is her hostage! Can Cal and Wally rescue him? Can they even rescue themselves in the process?
