Positionism is a 2017 art book by Gilles. It includes his controversial analysis of past artists’ methods, which relates to ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman art, Renaissance art, Romanticism, Realism, the Pre-Raphaelites, Impressionism and Neo-Impressionism.


It explains his method, ‘Positionism’, presents his research on the use of canons of proportions in art, displays a series of his drawings and paintings, and details his canon of proportions for female figures, which can be used for drawing, painting, sculpture, model making, animation, computer graphics or humanoid robotics.
