Sorra was born under a backward blessing, destined to bring misery to every life she touches. When her bad luck leads to accusations of murder, the enchanted arrow meant to lead her sisters to their greatest destinies is her only chance of avoiding the hangman's noose.

The arrow leads Sorra to an unconventional hero who offers an escape from her troubles, but Sorra knows better than to trust anything (or anyone) that looks too good to be true.

Her determination to stay one step ahead of her blessing leads her to an adventure she never could have imagined—a journey into forgotten lands to finish a quest the kings of Andonia abandoned more than a century ago.

Caught between a great destiny and a dark fate, Sorra must choose whether to risk everything to save Andonia, knowing her failure will certainly bring about its destruction.
