Mass deaths consumed the country, spreading far and wide like a wild fire after a global pandemic brought the population to its knees. 

On August 8th, 2019 something happened - though the answers as to what it was or why it happened no one had a chance to answer. Men, women and children simply dropped in the street, driving their cars, or grabbing themselves a cup of coffee to help them get through the last grind of their busy day.

Was this a bold new terrorist attack formulated by a foreign enemy or was it something domestic that no one saw coming? Whatever the case, those who found a means to survive had a new threat to worry about.

The dead, did not stay dead.

Kaige Banks found herself alone in a world that she did not recognize and she didn't know what was worse - to be the last living human and die alone or be consumed by the living dead that now roamed the streets in feral packs.
