RED MAGIC -- Book 2 of the Black Magic trilogy.

Inessa Black is continuing with her deadly mission -- she has destroyed Colonel Garvice Candidas' Air Force base and everyone he knew is dead. Armageddon is crashing down upon Earth, the world being destroyed by humanity's fear and pride. All there is to do is to mourn and save survivors.

Being in the military, Garvice had seen incredible things that give him a biblical sense of hopelessness. But not one to give up, he journeys with a young physicist, Adria, to investigate the strange phenomenon that are emerging, where mere words can make things happen.

Along the way, he meets the killer of all, Inessa Black, and realizes she is only a pawn of the universe just like everyone else.
When things go from bad to worse, it is up to Garvice to save civilization in a world where everyone is scared and anyone can kill with a whisper.

Even though dying along with the old world, he sees a new world forming, that life can continue -- if humanity has the courage to do what has to be done.
