Retro Evils

The first volume in the "Retro Evils" collection contains three female-led books; each written in the classic crime, mystery, and adventure style of the fiction belonging to the first half of the 20th Century.

Read on, as an innocent and unwitting traveller, returning via boat from Egypt to Britain and his Knightsbridge homes, witnesses a dockside atrocity at Port Said and finds himself embroiled in the theft of an Eastern relic with mystical powers… Mystical powers promising lasting consequences to those Westerners foolish enough to defile it.

Finally, we visit the late-fifties to meet an academically gifted undergrad; a learned ex-cop; and a Japanese heiress. Each of whom have one thing in common: a recently unearthed and much in demand tome called the "Book of Witches"… A book with an undeciphered incantation ensuring  tyranny, suppression, and a loss of autonomy. That loss being for ALL men if it is translated and invoked.
