The Chief of Security at Tower Casino is murdered in his office but instead of them calling the police they call Dana Cross. She calls Pittsburgh Metro Police Chief David Kirkpatrick and asks that Lieutenant Julie Markos be assigned to the case

Julie discovers that the Security Chief was killed with an ice bullet. She also discovers that his wife is a professional dominatrix who has a submissive lover. The Security Chief was having an ongoing affair with the head of Confluence Studios. Confluence Studios had made a movie where a hi tman used a gun that shot air bullets using compressed air and they still have the weapon.

In addition, Julie discovers that someone has come up with a foolproof plan to cheat Tower Casino and other casinos in Pittsburgh. Is this the reason the Security Chief was murdered, or could it be his wife, his wife’s lover, his lover, or someone else including someone from his days as a police captain and Security Chief at the Tower Casino in Las Vegas? That is what Julie must discover and when she does, it is not what she expected.
