Selected Drawings of W.T. Benda

This eBook presents a diverse collection of 100 works by artist and illustrator Wladyslaw T. Benda (1873-1948). Though he is little known today, Benda was a painter, illustrator, muralist, lithographer, set designer, mask maker, woodcarver, author and playwright. This collection presents works in color and black and white, showcasing his work in illustration and mask making. Many of the older magazine clippings are drawn from the archives of the Illustration House Gallery in New York, who were kind enough to loan us these materials for reproduction in Illustration Magazine issue #13. Many have not seen publication in over 100 years.
