Five years ago, Ralph Bryant had what would be considered by most a "perfect" life.  He lived in the greatest city in Canada, worked for a Fortune 500 company, and had a beautiful wife and children.  Yet, he was in the darkest place anyone could imagine.

Shackles Lost: A Poetry Mixtape is a raw and unflinching look at the impact of childhood trauma and abandonment, as well as three generations of mental illness. Poet and essayist Ralph Bryant painfully reflects on themes of depression, loneliness, sexual assault, race, and rage.  Shackles Lost is the first of a series of multimedia "mixtapes" - as Ralph continues with a journey striving for acceptance, gratitude, and healing.
