My name is Kierra, and my entire life fell apart during my first, and last, high school party.

If I'd never let Mom talk me into going out, maybe I wouldn't have lost my normal life. Maybe Mom would still be here.

That same night, everything else went wrong. Everywhere I went lights flickered, and the shadows stalked me. The final straw was being dragged into a world of magic, and horror. This world is ruled by the powers of light and darkness, my greatest fear. My only chance to get home is to take control of my terror, literally.

Not only am I trapped in a new world, but I'm stuck between two men: my oldest childhood friend that I've been in love with forever and feels like safety and home, or a magic-wielding immortal who empowers me and sees my weaknesses as beauty.
