A father driving his estranged daughter back to college stops at Mount Shasta for a short hike, and a careless moment on a mountain road sends a paroled biker carrying drugs and cash over a cliff. With the biker hunting them and every way down blocked, Tom and Maya climb toward the 14,000-foot summit, where they must finally trust each other to survive.
