Planet Dismolle is supposed to be a peaceful haven. So what's with all the gunfire?

A criminal gang has moved into Chirless, Dismolle's retirement city. The elderly residents are fed up with loud music, noisy cars and late-night parties—not to mention hold-ups, muggings and the occasional gunfight.

Chirless hasn't had a Peace Force branch in years, so Harriet Walsh and her fellow officers rush to help. Unfortunately, they have very little equipment, no local backup, and their only spaceship has just been sold for pocket change.

Fortunately, Chirless has plenty of retired Peace Force officers. And when the criminals turn violent, these veterans are ready to dust off their creaky old skills.

Outnumbered, outgunned and relying on a bunch of very rusty veterans, can Harriet and her unlikely allies hold the city until help arrives?
