This narrative of King Philip's War seems to straddle the line between fiction and nonfiction, being rooted in the historical accounts of the conflicts between Native Americans and their European neighbors. King Philip's War occurred in the third quarter of the 17th century and involved the settlers of the New England Confederation (and their native allies) in conflict with the Wampanoag tribe and their allies.
