Social Currency

“Social Currency” is a collection of poems with many themes concerning social matters. It starts off with bright love poems, and continually progress into darker poems with respective themes within our social universe of discourse.

Silver, gold, and money are not the only form of spendable funds. Trust, respect, fairness, honesty, truth, and confidence are the currency the courts spends, and accumulate in banks of public consciousness. To be invested in the evolution of our communities to better, more equitable functional spaces for brighter tomorrows.

Trust and confidence is the currency that the court spends in the hope of increasing gains in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. To ensure, and guarantee protection, security, equal opportunity, and righteous freedom rights promised by the sovereign for each, and every citizens entering into the nation’s social contract, is what society at large expects. 

This may seem far from the many themes in my poems or even irrelevant. But the fall of society is the loss of fait in the institutions that our modern life are build upon. The said deprivation of fait causes a rapid change to occur in social norms that feed back into the same foundational associations.  Through a number of iterative reinforcement of the aforesaid, this breaks the machine that make it possible for our present day democratic system of governance, and renders our civilization nonfunctional.
