Stand With Cathy

Cathy Rambow moved to the United States with her husband Olen in July of 2009. She was studying to become a nurse. But after less than a year of classes, at the age of just 27, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Having a very poor health insurance plan, she and Olen were faced with the astronomical expenses associated with cancer treatment without the means to pay for it. Told from Cathy's husband's point of view, Stand with Cathy is the remarkable story of how a community came together to support Cathy and Olen through their fight with cancer, financial difficulty, and eviction from their apartment in the midst of an unbelievable property dispute involving a landlord who would soon be convicted for his wife's murder. All proceeds from sales of this book will go toward breast cancer research.
