Sting And Shatter

The thing that can save you is also the thing that can kill you.

Financial compliance analyst Waverly Croft travels to a remote Maine island intending to sell it and clear her father's debts, only to find it occupied by fiercely territorial marine mechanic Ajax Thorn and his forty beehives. There is just one problem: Waverly has a severe, life threatening allergy to bee venom. When a dense maritime fog rolls in, Ajax secretly disables her only boat back to the mainland, trapping her with him to protect his home. Meticulously controlling her environment to keep her safe from the lethal hives, he effectively makes her his prisoner. As their claustrophobic isolation deepens in a farmhouse smelling of beeswax and woodsmoke, Waverly realizes the greatest danger isn't the bees outside, but her undeniable attraction to the man keeping her caged.
